HomeMy WebLinkAboutDSHW-2024-009592Small Quantity Generator Re-Notification Due September 1, 2025 Are you a small quantity generator (SQG) of hazardous waste (i.e., a generator of between 100 and 1,000 kg (220 and 2,200 lbs) of non-acute hazardous waste per month)? SQGs in Utah are now required to re- notify every four years. To remain in compliance with the re-notification requirement, you need to update your notification by completing and submitting the Notification of RCRA Subtitle C Activities (Site Identification Form), also known as EPA Form 8700- 12. The form can be accessed at https://deq.utah.gov/waste- management-and-radiation-control/hazardous-waste-management- program If you have updated your form in 2024, you will not need to renotify unless information on the 8700-12 form needs updating. SQGs are encouraged to submit the re-notification electronically via MyRCRAID by logging into RCRAInfo and requesting MyRCRAID permissions for your site (if you have not already registered). You can log into or register for RCRAInfo at https://rcrainfo.epa.gov/rcrainfoprod/. Then, you should create a New Submission and select the option to provide a subsequent notification. The form will be pre-populated with the most recent information for your site in RCRAInfo. Please review the information in each box for accuracy and update as necessary before submitting. For more information, please contact Kaci Mcneill kmcneill1@utah.gov or Deborah Ng dng@utah.gov or by phone at 801-536-0200.
