DESCRIPTION
SKF Salt Lake City (SKF) manufactures seals from various materials, including rubber and plastic. Previously, the Permittee discharged wet deck contact water to the local Publicly Owned
Treatment Works (POTW) and was categorized as a significant industrial user in accordance with 40 CFR §428.56.
On September 10, 2024, the Division of Water Quality (DWQ) received a request to terminate the UPDES Permit from the Permittee. According to the request, SKF no longer has equipment
on site that would facilitate a discharge of the above-mentioned process water to the POTW. As of September 4, 2024, the Permittee will no longer discharge to the POTW. As such, DWQ
is terminating UPDES Permit No. UTP000057.
