THE PURPOSE OF THIS PUBLIC NOTICE IS TO DECLARE THE INTENTION OF THE STATE OF UTAH TO REISSUE A UTAH POLLUTANT DISCHARGE ELIMINATION SYSTEM (UPDES) PRETREATMENT PERMIT UNDER AUTHORITY

plant. Pitman has been classified as a significant industrial user due to the facility discharging over 25,000 gallonsper day and pollutants of concern into the Moroni Publicly Owned
Treatment Works.The process wastewater is from the following processes for processing the turkeys: cutting, bagging, cleaning and rendering.The wastewater is treated utilizing a dissolved
air flotation system and a single-cell lagoon. Outfall 001 is located south ofthe northeast corner of the lagoon system.PUBLIC COMMENTSDuring the public comment period provided under
Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R317-8-6.5, any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit and may request a public hearing if no hearing has already been scheduled.
A request for a public hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues proposed to be raised in the hearing. All comments will be considered in making the final
decision and shall be answered as provided in UAC R317-8-6.12. Public comments are invited any time before the deadline of the close of business on August21, 2024. Written publiccomments

permit is available for public review under “Public Participation” at www.waterquality.utah.gov/. If internet access is unavailable, a copy may be obtained by calling Jennifer Robinson
at 385-501-9585.After considering public comments, the Director may execute the permit issuance, revise it or abandon it. The Directorwill not publish a notice of decision provided the
permit is signed without any changes and no comments are receivedduring the public comment period.
