Pretreatment Program (Program) delegated by the Division of Water QualityPURPOSE OF PUBLIC NOTICEThe Division of Water Quality is soliciting public comment regarding modifications to
the Orem Ordinance and Local Limits for implementing the Program. These changes are considered a substantial modification of the Program implemented by thecity of Orem. The Division
of Water Quality (DWQ) reviewed the changes and found that the changes met the requirements of R317-8-8 and 40 CFR 403. Once the public notice period and comment process are completed,

the Program due to requirements by DWQ. The changes could impact Industrial Users discharging to the Publicly Owned Treatment Works (POTW), owned and operated by the city of Orem.
PUBLIC COMMENTSPublic comments are invited before the close of business onApril 4, 2024. Written public comments can be submitted to Jennifer Robinson, UPDES Individual Permitting Section,
Utah Division of Water Quality, PO Box 144870, Salt Lake City, Utah 84114-4870, or by email atjenrobinson@utah.gov.A public hearing can be requested, although it must be filed during
the comment period, which will end on April 4, 2024. A request for a public hearing must be filed per 40 CFR 403.11. After considering public comments, the DWQ Director may approve,
revise or abandon the revisions to the ordinance and Local Limits. The director will not publish a notice of decision provided the ordinance and Local Limits will be approved without
any changes and no comments are received during the public comment period.
