SAID “PERMIT” REFERS TO THE UPDES PERMIT AND THE FACT SHEET STATEMENT OF BASIS (INCLUDING TOTAL MAXIMUM DAILY LOADS (TMDL’S)) IF APPLICABLE, AS PER SECTION 303(D) OF THE FEDERAL CLEAN WATER ACT (CWA)]. The cells arecontained on 164 acres. The treatment facility was operated as a total containment treatment facility until1996. The facility serves the City of Stansbury Park with a current population of about 8,500. The designflow was 1 MGD with operational flow of .75 MGD. The facility has completed a major upgrade to meetfuture demands for treatment. The upgraded final design flow is 2.7 MGD, but it the limit will remain 1.5MGD for the near future.PUBLIC COMMENTSDuring the public comment period provided under Utah Administrative Code (UAC) R317-8-6.5, any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit and may request a public hearing if no hearing has already been scheduled. A request for a public hearing shall be in writing and shall state the nature of the issues proposed to be raised in the hearing. All comments will be considered in making the final decision and shall be answered as provided in UAC R317-8-6.12. Public comments are invited any time prior to the deadline of the close of business on August 12, 2022.
