It is my understanding that the receiving water for Outfall 001 is an unnamed canal, which is a dry wash or an ephemeral or intermittent tributary which ends in Iron Spring Creek. Iron Spring Creek is located in the West Desert region and the beneficial uses for the West Desert region are not defined but this region is defaulted to the 2B and 3D designated beneficial uses. I accessed the AWQMS Water Quality Database, to check if any records for flow and ambient water quality data were available to be able to run a wasteload model. No flow and ambient water quality data was available. This being the case, the effluent limits revert to the water quality standards. A Level 2 Antidegradation review is required for this proposed new discharge. Let me know if you need any further information or clarification.
