The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control will begin oversight of Oil and Gas Exploration and Production (E&P) Waste generated in Utah. Eorts continue through the Draft Rule process to ensure balanced regulation. Regulatory Changes Stakeholder Engagement Key Messages Division of Oil, Gas & Mining (DOGM) Draft Rules. Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (DWMRC) Draft Rules Individual Stakeholder Meetings, together with both agencies. Decision point for Landfarms and Disposal Evaporation Ponds. Stakeholders will engage with one Agency for final transition plans. Rulemaking finalized early December 2024. Regulatory Transition. Transition Begins Discussions with Agencies begin to create individualized transition plans. Transition Complete All Landfarms and Evaporation Waste Ponds will have closed or applied for a permit with DWMRC 01.02.April, 2024 December 31, 2024
