The Division of Waste Management and Radiation
Control will regulate the disposal of solid and
hazardous wastes generated from the exploration,
development, or production of crude oil and gases,
including drilling fluids, muds and other liquid wastes.

drafted for the regulatory shift of Exploration &
Production Waste (E&P) from the Division of Oil, Gas
and Mining to the Division of Waste Management
and Radiation Control.

footprint under Post Closure Permit.
DWMRC Solid Waste Permit
Permit all or part of a facility to comply

and may not be in assessment or corrective

surface impoundments
●When location standards are met, no liner
required for landfills
●Surface impoundments must have either a
liner that meets R315-303-3(3) and
groundwater monitoring wells, or a dual
lined system with leak detection
