We have addressed your comments and have made some clarifications to the drawings and the manual. We have talked with Heather and All Wells, and we intend to change order this work into All Wells well drilling contract. This will save the project time and cost from bidding this work out. Below are our responses to your comments. Thanks, James 1. Sheet C102 says that the 3" pump to waste line will be "reinstalled". Is there a detail of how this is configured? I need to be sure that at its discharge point it is downturned, has an adequate freefall to the ground or receiving basin, and that the end is covered with a #4 mesh screen. a. Detail D1 on Sheet C503 has been added for clarity. The discharge will be downturned and screened. 2. On Sheet C103, is the air valve that will be reinstalled downturned and with a #14 mesh screen on the end? a. Detail A1 on Sheet C103 has been updated to indicate a #14 mesh screen. 3. Is the sample tap to be reinstalled a smooth nosed sample tap? a. The sample tap is smooth nosed. Let me know if you have any questions. It appears, in general, that the plan is to use the discharge piping and valving from the existing well. I have a couple of comments/questions based on what was shown in the plans: 1) Sheet C102 says that the 3" pump to waste line will be "reinstalled". Is there a detail of how this is configured? I need to be sure that at its discharge point it is downturned, has an adequate freefall to the ground or receiving basin, and that the end is covered with a #4 mesh screen. 2) On Sheet C103, is the air valve that will be reinstalled downturned and with a #14 mesh screen on the end? 3) Is the sample tap to be reinstalled a smooth nosed sample tap? Once I have confirmation that these items are compliant, I can move forward with preparing the equipping plan approval letter. The last item remaining on the project is to tie the new well into the system. Sorry for the delay on this one. The Owner was investigating options to increase flow and put in a larger pump which would require larger power to the pump house. They don’t need that and with the remaining funding be tight they plan to just take the pump from the old well and install it and then just raise the existing piping in their building so that it is over 18 inches off the floor. Should we send that to you or go through Heather Pattee to send the drawings for review?
