Corrective Action Plan for Nitrate White Mesa Uranium Mill near Blanding, Utah Closeout Letter Dear Ms. Weinel:
The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has completed the review of the November 15, 2023, 3rd Quarter, 2023 Nitrate Monitoring Report for the Nitrate Contamination Investigation.
The review was based on compliance with the following: • Energy Fuels Resources (USA) Inc. (EFR), White Mesa Uranium Mill, Groundwater Discharge
Permit No. UGW370004, signed March 19, 2019 (Permit). • Corrective Action Plan (CAP) for Nitrate White Mesa Uranium Mill near Blanding, Utah, dated May 7, 2012, approved December 12, 2012. • The EFR Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) dated February 15, 2022 (Revision. 7.7)
The Division review concluded that the Report was found to be in compliance with the Permit, CAP, and QAP. This letter constitutes a closeout of the November 15, 2023, 3rd Quarter, 2023 Nitrate Monitoring Report.
