Dear Ms. Weinel: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has completed its review of the
2023 Annual Seep and Springs Sampling Report dated January 2, 2024 (Report). The review was based on compliance with the following: 1. White Mesa Uranium Mill Ground Water Quality Assurance Plan (QAP). Revision 7.2,
dated June 6, 2012. 2. Groundwater Discharge Permit No. UGW370004 (Permit). Permit version that was signed on March 19, 2019. 3. Sampling Plan for Seeps and Springs in the Vicinity of the White Mesa Uranium Mill. Revision 2.
July 8, 2016 (Plan). The Division review concluded that the Report appeared to be in compliance with the QAP, Permit, and Plan. This letter constitutes a closeout of the 2023 Annual Seep and Springs Sampling Report.
