Closeout Letter, Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit Number UGW370004

Dear Ms. Weinel:

The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has completed the review of the 2022
Annual Seep and Springs Sampling Report dated February 20, 2023 (Report).

The review was based on compliance with the following:

1. White Mesa Uranium Mill Groundwater Quality Assurance Plan (QAP). Revision 7.2,
dated June 6, 2012.
2. Groundwater Discharge Permit Number UGW370004 (Permit). Permit version that was signed on
March 19, 2019.
3. Sampling Plan for Seeps and Springs in the vicinity of the White Mesa Uranium Mill. Revision 2.
July 8, 2016 (Plan).

The Division review concluded that the Report appeared to be in compliance with the Permit, QAP, and
Plan. This letter constitutes a closeout of the 2022 Annual Seep and Springs Sampling Report.
