Closeout Letter. Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit Number UGW370004
Dear Ms. Weinel:
The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) has completed the review of the 2022
Annual Tailings System Wastewater Sampling Report dated October 17, 2022 (Report).
The review was based on compliance with the following:
1.White Mesa Uranium Mill Groundwater Quality Assurance Plan (QAP). Revision 7.5,
dated June 5, 2019.
2.Groundwater Quality Discharge Permit No. UGW370004 (Permit). The Permit version that was
signed on March 19, 2019.
3.Tailings and slimes Drain Sampling Program (Plan) Revision 3.0 dated July 8, 2018.
The Division review concluded that the Report appeared to be in compliance with the Permit, QAP, and
Plan. This letter constitutes a closeout of the October 17, 2022, Annual Tailings Systems Wastewater
Sampling Report.
