Dear Ms. Weinel: On May 10, 2022, the Utah Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (Division) completed the
field inspection of the 2022 Annual Seeps and Springs Monitoring Event by Energy Fuels Resources (USA) Inc. (EFRI). This inspection also included the collection of a split sample by the Cottonwood Spring. The inspection was based on compliance with the:
1. White Mesa Uranium Mill Groundwater Quality Assurance Plan (“QAP”). Revision 7.6, dated September 10, 2019. 2. Groundwater Discharge Permit No. UGW370004 (“Permit”), dated March 8, 2021. 3. Sampling Plan for Seeps and Springs In the Vicinity of the White Mesa Uranium Mill.
Revision 2. July 8, 2016 (“Sampling Plan”). The findings of this inspection and results of the analytical analysis for the Division split sample of Cottonwood Spring will also be included as part of the review to complete the inspection for the Annual
2022 Seeps and Springs Monitoring Report. Based on Division staff observation of EFRI staff performing the sampling and monitoring on May 10, 2022, it appears that EFRI staff is in compliance with field sampling requirements in the Permit, QAP and Sampling Plan. This letter constitutes a closeout of the May 10, 2022 Annual Seeps and Springs Monitoring Event
