RE: Compliance: Receipt and Handling of Initial Loads of Sequoyah Fuels Alternate Feed
Radioactive Materials License Number UT1900479 (RML): Findings and Closeout
Dear Ms. Weinel:
On March 26 and 27, 2018, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control completed an
inspection at the White Mesa Uranium Mill in Blanding, Utah. The inspection centered on receipt and
handling of alternate feed material from Sequoyah Fuels in Gore, Oklahoma as related to compliance
with Utah’s Radiation Control Rules and the conditions of the referenced license. The inspection was
performed to ascertain whether all pertinent requirements of the license and rules were met, whether the work performed revealed necessary corrective measures, and whether any such measures were taken.
Based on the findings documented during the review, the items reviewed were found to be in
compliance with applicable rules and requirements for this license.
If you have any questions, please call Russ Topham at (801) 536-4256.
Sincerely,
Scott T. Anderson, Director
Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control
