Dear Ms. Weinel:
On June 28, July 19 and August 10, 2017, inspections were conducted at your facility in Blanding, Utah
by a representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control. Results of the
inspection were discussed with David Turk and Logan Shumway at the conclusion of the inspection. In
conjunction with these inspections, the Division has also reviewed the As-Built Report for the Cell 2
Phase 1 Cover Construction Project and relevant associated data.
The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted in your facility as they relate to
compliance with the Radiation Control Rules and the conditions of the license. The inspection consisted
of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews of personnel, independent
measurements and observations by the inspector.
Based on the findings documented during the inspection, the items reviewed were found to be in
compliance with applicable rules and requirements of this license.
