RE: Inspection of Primary Radon Barrier Construction, Cell 2
Radioactive Material License Number UT UT1900479
Dear Ms. Weinel:
On November 10, 2016, an inspection was conducted at the White Mesa Uranium Mill by a
representative of the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control. Results of the inspection
were discussed with plant management at the conclusion of the inspection.
The inspection was an examination of the activities conducted in your facility as they relate to compliance with the Utah Radiation Control Rules and the conditions of the license. The inspection
consisted of selective examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews of personnel,
independent measurements and observations by the inspector.
Based on the findings documented during the inspection, the items reviewed were found to be in compliance with the Utah Radiation Control Rules and requirements for this license.
If you have any questions, please call Russ Topham at (801) 536-4256.
Sincerely,
Scott T. Anderson, Director
Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control STA/RJT/ka
