Dear Ms. Weinel:
On January 29, 2015, the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) received the 4th Quarter,
2014 DMT Performance Standards Monitoring Report and Cell 4A and Cell 4B BAT
Performance Standards Monitoring Report (dated January 27, 2015) for the Energy Fuels
Resources (EFR) White Mesa Mill near Blanding, Utah. From the data presented, it appears EFR
complied with applicable standards as detailed in the DMT and BAT Plans.
The DRC notes that Roberts Pond has been removed from service. Concurrent with the
preparation of engineering plans for backfilling the pond, please make appropriate revisions to the
Discharge Minimization Technology Plan to remove references to Roberts Pond, and submit the
revised plan to the DRC for review and approval.
Inasmuch as no open issues remain, the DRC considers the review ofthe 4th Quarter, 2014 EFR
DMT Performance Standards Monitoring Report and the Cell 4A and Cell 4B BAT Performance
Standards Monitoring Report closed.
