UG370004 (GWDP): Findings and Closeout
Dear Ms. Weinel:
On April 17, 2014, DRC staff conducted a field inspection of the physical facilities involved in
tailings and waste disposal at the White Mesa Mill. The inspection focused on the physical health
and performance of the facilities with respect to the Discharge Minimization Technology Plan and
the approved implementation of best available technology at the site.
The facilities appeared to be operating within expected parameters. Personnel involved in routine
inspections relative to the Discharge Minimization Technology Plan and the implemented best
available technologies seem knowledgeable of the requirements, and more importantly, of the
principles behind the requirements.
Inasmuch as no significant deficiencies were noted, this inspection is hereby closed out.
