Denison Mines is required by their radioactive material license to evaluate archeological sites. This document was prepared by Abajo Archaeology on behalf of Denison Mines (USA) Corp., Blanding, Utah. The Denison Mines facility is a uranium mill licensed by the Utah Division of Radiation Control. The document referenced above serves two purposes: to provide a report of archaeological test excavations on ten sites in a new construction area of the White Mesa Uranium Mill, and to present a research design for archaeological data recovery at these same sites. All of the sites contain archaeological deposits. Please review the research design document for verification lhat the approach proposed for data recovery will mitigate adverse affects.
