The Utah Division of Radiation Control ("DRC") has completed the review ofthe February 25,2013,4*
Quarter, 2012 Nitrate Monitoring Report ("Report") for the Nitrate Contamination Investigation at EFR
White Mesa Uranium Mill.
The review was based on compliance with the: 1) Stipulated Consent Agreement, State of Utah Division
of Environmental Quality Docket No. UGW-09-03 ("SCA") issued January 27,2009; 2) Plan and
Schedule for Nitrate Contamination Investigation Report and Groundwater Corrective Action Plan White
Mesa Mill Uranium Mill Site Blanding, Utah ("Plan") dated November 21,2008; 3) the EFR Ground
Water Quality Discharge Permit Number UGW370004 ("Permit"); and 4) the EFR Quality Assurance Plan
("QAP"). The DRC review found that the contents of the Report comply with the applicable SCA, Plan,
Permit, and QAP requirements.
This letter constitutes a closeout of the 4* Quarter, 2012 Nitrate Monitoring Report for the Nitrate
Contamination Investigation.
