yourself and Tom Rushing regarding MW35 at White Mesa Mill. As we discussed,
1. EFRI has collected eight periods of groundwater data fi^om MW35. However, for two of the parameters,
sulfate and nickel, initial statistical tests by our consultant, INTERA, Inc. indicate that the data are outliers and
statistically unusable.
2. As of the first quarter of 2013, EFRI will have seven period of groundwater data for new wells MW36 and
MW37. Tbe eighth period of groundwater data will be collected in the second quarter of 2013. We will not know
whether all eight periods of data for every analyte in these wells will be statistically usable until after INTERA runs
its initial statistical tests on all data through the second quarter of 2013.
As we agreed in our phone call, EFRI will:
1. Collect an additional quarter of data for MW35 and test to confirm that every analyte has eight periods of
statistically valid data.
2. Per the Groundwater Discharge Pennit, EFRI will submit a background report for MW35 combined with
MW36 and 37, when we have eight periods of statistically valid data for every analyte in each of the three wells.
