Box 144810 Salt Lake City, UT 84114-4820 Re: State of Utah Ground Water Discharge Permit ("GWDP") No. UGW370004 White Mesa Uranium Mill New Decontamination Pad and Proposed White Mesa Mill Tailings Management System and Discharge Minimization Technology Monitoring Plan Response to Request for Information ("RFI") Dear Mr. Lundberg: This letter responds to Utah Department of Environmental Quality's ("UDEQ's") Request for Information of May 10, 2010 regarding the New Decontamination Pad ("NDP"). Reference is also made to Denison Mines (USA) Corp.'s ("Denison's") letters of February 4, 2009, November 16, 2009, March 12, 2010, and our August 4, 2010 submittal of Revision 10 of the Tailings Management System and Discharge Minimization Technology Monitoring ("DMT") Plan and Revision 1.6 of the Cell 4A Operations and Maintenance ("O&M") Plan which are currently pending UDEQ approval. Based on the comments below, Denison has prepared Revision 10.1 to the DMT Plan which is provided as Attachment 1 to this letter. This revision incorporates all the changes provided in the August 4, 2010 submittal of Revision 10 (provided in redline format) plus all the additional changes requested In the UDEQ comments below (provided in redline format and highlighted in yellow). All red-lined changes are relative to the approved Revision 3.0. DMT Plan Revision 10.1 has also been provided in a clean version with all changes accepted. Denison requests that UDEQ not review DMT Plan Revision 10.0, submitted on August 4, 2010, but review DMT Plan Revision 10.1, attached to this letter, for approval. Based on the comments below, Denison has also prepared Revision 3 of the Contingency Plan. All red-lined changes are relative to the approved Revision 2.0. Contingency Plan Revision 3.0 has also been provided in a clean version with all changes accepted.
