Re: White Mesa Mill Annual Seeps and Springs Sampling -
Notice Pursuant to Utah Groundwater Discharge Permit UGW370004 .
Dear Mr. Finerfi-ock:
Denison Mines (USA) Corp. is providing this letter to notify the Utah Department ofEnvironmental Quality of
the White Mesa Mill's (the "Mill's") annual seeps and springs sampling event as required by Utah Groundwater
Discharge Permit (the"GWDP") UGW370004. The Mill plans to begin the sampling event during the week of
Monday, July 5, 2010.
The Mill staff will attempt to sample the following locations: Coral Canyon Seep, Corral Seep, Ruin Springs,
Cottonwood Seep, Westwater Seep, and Entrance Seep, consistent with the GWDP and the March 2009
Sampling Plan for Seeps and Springs (the "Sampling Plan"). As described in the Sampling Plan, several of
these locations have historically been too dry for sampling. Per the Sampling Plan, beginning the week of July
5, 2010, the Mill staff will make three attempts at sampling each location and will document during each
attempt whether or not conditions permit development and sampling.
If you have any questions or require fiirther assistance, please contact Mr. Richard Bartlett, Mill Manager; Mr.
David Turk, Radiation Safety Officer; or Ryan Palmer at (435) 678-2221.
Yours very truly.
