Dear Ms. Hunsaker:
Enclosed is a packet of information, prepared by Abajo Archeology, acting as consultants to
Denison Mines. You may recall that Denison Mines operates a uranium ore processing mill near
Blanding, Utah. The mill owners have been issued a license by the Division of Radiation Control
to operate and a provision of the license requires that before construction activities, Denison
Mines must demonstrate that they are complying with State or federal laws dealing with
pres ervation of potenti al archeol o gi cal sites.
Please provide me with your evaluation of the adequacy of plans prepared by Abajo Archeology
to deal with the construction of a proposed new mill tailings disposal. I appreciate your help. If
you need further information, please call me at 801-536-4250.
Sincerely,(fr1-.$-,@fr
