Material: Radioactive Materials License UT1900479 (RML): DRC Findings and
Closeout
Dear Ms. Tischler:
On June 6, 2013, the Utah Division of Radiation Control (DRC) conducted an inspection of
disposal operations for 1 le.(2) byproduct material. This inspection included three elements:
operations physically carried out on June 6, 2013, records of aggregate and year-to-date receipts
from each generator, and documents fulfilling the March 18, 2013 Request for Information
regarding the March 7, 2013 inspection under this same module. The DRC findings were as
follows:
1. EFR has an approved Standard Operating Procedure, No. PBL-10, Revision No. R-3
(SOP), dated November 10, 2011 which sets forth an orderly methodology for achieving
compliance with the conditions of the RML governing receipt and disposal of 1 le.(2)
byproduct material.
2. The inspection performed on the above referenced date did not reveal incidents of
noncompliance with either the RML or the SOP.
3. The disposal operation occurred in three locations where excavations penetrated the
interim cover to reach tailings sands below. Location and depth of placement, as well as
placement and compaction of cover appeared to meet relevant requirements of the RML
and the SOP.
4. Documentation presented at the time of inspection supports a conclusion that Energy Fuels
Resources is in compliance with License Condition 10.5A. Received materials have not
exceeded limitations on material type, activity, generator or quantity.

5. Documentation submitted to the DRC supports a conclusion that Energy Fuels Resources
has provided the required compactive effort to close out the inspection of March 7, 2013.
In consideration of the findings enumerated above, the inspections conducted on March 7, 2013
and June 6,2013 are hereby closed.
