SUBJECT: Compliance: License Condition 9.5, Surety Update, Request for Extension of Time
to respond to Request for Information; Radioactive Materials License UT1900479
(RML), Energy Fuels Resources, Inc. (EFR) White Mesa Mill, Blanding, Utah: Approval
The Utah Division of Radiation Control sent a Request for Information dated April 3, 2013 (RFI)
in response to the EFR 2013 Surety Update. The DRC received an e-mail on May 3, 2013 from
you summarizing a conversation between you and Russ Topham of my staff on April 30, 2013
regarding the RFI. Specifically, the email discusses the work involved in creating a detailed work
breakdown structure (WBS) and constructing from the WBS a Gantt chart or other graphical
representation of the work to identify the critical path in a facility closure and decommissioning
scenario. In the May 3, 2013 email, EFR indicated a willingness to provide the requested
information, but asked for additional time to complete and submit the work. Your request to
extend the due date for the response to the RFI to June 19, 2013 is hereby approved.
