On November 16, 2012, the DRC received the 2012 Annual Technical Evaluation Report (ATER)
dated November 15, 2012, vs^hich covers the November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2012 monitoring
period Upon review of the ATER, DRC staff findings and recommends are as follows
1 As noted in the DMT field inspection report dated September 28, 2012, the DRC
recommends relocating the movement monitors on the Cell 4 A dike from the center of the
dike to the shoulder to prevent disturbance during maintenance operations
2 The ATER relied upon the Tailings Management System document. Revision 2 1,
approved on July 25, 2012 This represented a more stringent approach to preparing the
ATER than relying upon the previous revision for the segment of the reporting period
preceding July 25, 2012 The report as prepared and submitted meets the requirements for
content and timeliness Thank you
Inasmuch as staff review revealed no significant deficiencies, the DRC considers this review
closed out
