On April 24, 2019 the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control completed an inspection of
the Discharge Minimization Technology and approved Best Available Technology used for tailings handling at the White Mesa Uranium Mill near Blanding, Utah. The inspection considered the conditions of the facilities. The inspection also explored crew understanding of the principles and practices necessary to maintain a healthy tailings management system.
