Re: Energy Fuels Resources (USA) Inc. ("EFRI") Response to Confirmatory Action Letter —
Installation of Additional Nitrate Wells, White Mesa Uranium Mill
Dear Mr. Howard:
Pursuant to the February 5, 2021 Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control ("DWMRC") letter,
EFRI is providing proposed locations for DWMRC review and approval for two new Nitrate monitoring wells
to be installed at the White Mesa Mill. The two proposed new nitrate wells are located to 1) provide a
well (eastern well) immediately downgradient of the 'spur' of the nitrate plume extending to TWN-7;
and 2) provide water level data between Cell 1 and the mesa rim to the west of the plume (western
well). Because of the very slow rate of migration of the plume to the location of TWN-7 it is
anticipated that the eastern proposed well will be unimpacted by the plume and will function as a new
bounding well. The water level data provided by both wells, especially the western well, will provide
water level data in an area currently lacking any measurement points. The proposed locations are shown
on the attached figure.
EFRI has tentatively scheduled a drilling contractor for mid-April 2021. A definitive schedule will be provided
to DWMRC upon approval of the proposed locations.
If you should have any questions regarding this report please contact me.
Yours very truly,
71retif Jf._d
