(“EFR”). This inspection also included the collection of a split- sample by the Division of tailings wastewater in the Tailings Cell 2 Slimes Drain. The inspection was based on compliance with the: 1. White Mesa Uranium Mill Ground Water Quality Assurance Plan (“QAP”). Revision 7.4, dated July 23, 2018. 2. Ground Water Quality Discharge Permit Number UGW370004 (“Permit”), dated March 19, 2019. 3. Tailings and slimes Drain Sampling Program (“Sampling Plan”) Revision 3.0 dated July 8, 2016. The findings of this inspection and results of the analytical analysis for the Division split sample of the wastewater in Cell 2 Slimes Drain will also be included as part of the review to complete the inspection for the Annual Tailings System Wastewater Monitoring Report due December 1, 2021. Based on Division staff observation of EFR staff performing the sampling and monitoring on September 1, 2021, it appears that EFR staff is in compliance with field sampling requirements in the Permit, QAP and Sampling Plan. This letter constitutes a closeout of the September 1, 2021, Annual Tailings System Wastewater Monitoring Event. (Over) If you have any questions, please contact Dean Henderson at (801) 536-0046.
