Dear Ms. Tischler:
The Utah Division of Radiation Control ("UDRC") has reviewed the Energy Fuels Resources
(USA), Inc. ("EFRI") March 21, 2013 Operations and Maintenance Plan Nitrate Pumping System
Revision 2.0 and the March 21, 2013 Operations and Maintenance Plan Chloroform Pumping
System Revision 2.2 at the White Mesa Mill ("Mill"), near Blanding, Utah.
Based on our review, it is noted that in addition to the existing procedure in each plan addressing
the transfer of pumped groundwater from both the nitrate and chloroform pumping systems to the
tailings cells, the revisions provide for the option of utilizing the groundwater as makeup water for
the milling process. As nonradiological constituents that have been or are associated with the
overall milling process, the revisions in each plan will not create an increased occupational or
public dose and is therefore protective of health and safety and the environment and are hereby
approved.
