Jo Ann,
The attached summary accurately captures our conversation from yesterday. This reply confirms our
concurrence with your proposal to substitute the blow tube monitoring method for the automated method
during the one to two weeks the automation system will be powered down to facilitate liner repairs.
Thank you for documenting the conversation.

Russ,
This email documents our phone conversation yesterday, May 16, 2012, regarding Denison Mines' liner repair
activities at White Mesa Mill Cell 1. At the time we spoke yesterday, repair crew had completed repairs on
three sides of the cell and was about to begin work on the fourth side. Work on the fourth side requires
shutting down the power to the Cell 1 area, and would also shut down the electronic leak detection system
monitoring at Cell 1, Mill environmental personnel were prepared to return to the use ofthe manual blow
tube method for checking daily and weekly LDS solution level. The Mill estimated that the power needed to be
shut down for approximately one to two weeks, and the electronic sensor and data logging system would be
reactivated on the day power is returned to the area. My phone call to you was to confirm that this approach
was acceptable to DRC, During our call you gave a verbal approval and advised Denison we could proceed on
your verbal OK, You requested that I document our conversation by email, so you could provide a written
confirmation in response.
Thank you for your quick evaluation and agreement with our approach. Please confirm our agreement with an
email note at your convenience.
During our phone call, I also mentioned that Denison would like to include in the next revision ofthe Discharge

Minimization Technology ("DMT") Plan, which is currently under review by DRC, a proposed change to the text
accommodate use ofthe blow tube method for LDS monitoring during periods of power loss to the tailings
area. We plan to include that textual change in the version we submit in response to your review comments.
Thank you for your responsiveness and help.
