Inspection of Additional Pad for Altemate Feed Drum Management Ground Water
Discharge Permit No UGW370004 (Permit) - Denison Mines (USA) Corp (DUSA)
White Mesa Mill, Blanding, Utah
On June 8, 2012,1 conducted an inspection at the DUSA White Mesa mill on behalf of the DRC Among
the items I observed was the newly constructed dmm management pad in the altemate feed area DUSA
constmcted this pad to augment similar pads previously constmcted The DRC extended final plan
approval and closeout for this project on May 1, 2012 However, I felt it worthwhile to confirm that the
constmction had been completed in a satisfactory manner
At the time of my visit, much of the pad was obscured with dmms or equipment Therefore, no photos
were taken to document the condition of the concrete However, what I could observe appeared to have
been well constmcted No obvious cracking, spalling or other constmction defect was apparent Drainage
from the pad appeared adequate, and was directed to controlled sumps within the altemate feed circuit area
Curbs appeared sufficient to provide the desired matenal containment, and to prevent spilling onto the soil
