Subject: White Mesa Uranium Mill. Ground Water Discharge Permit No. UGW370004, January
22, 2009 DRC Confirmalory Action Letter; Close Out Letter
Included in the findings of a DRC storm water inspection which took place on October 19, 2009, DRC
noted that the "swamp" area south of the sulfuric acid tank has been dewatered and re-graded and that
storm water drainage in the area has been piped to the sedimentation pond to avoid re-accumulation in the
"swamp" area.
These actions meet the requirements of the January 22. 2009DRC Conllrmatory Action Letter (CAL)" to
eliminate the "swamp area. Since this is the case it appears that the CAL comtnitment to remove the
swamp has been achieved by Denison and the matter is hereby closed-out.
If you have questions or concems about this letter please contact Tom Rushing at (801) 536-0080.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
UTAH WATER QUALFTY BOARD
