SUBJECT: Chloroform Contaminaiion Investigation. Chloroform Concentrations Exceeding the
Groundwater Quality Standard in Monitor Welt TW4-6. Request for a Submittal of a
Plan of Action and Work Schedule. Confirmatory Action Letter.
Dear Mr. Landau:
During a Division of Radiation Conlrol (hereafter "DRC ") and Denison Mines Corp (DUSA) [hereafter
"DUSA"] conference call on October 29, 2009, DUSA agreed that the recent chloroform concentrations in
monitor well TW4-6 have exceeded the 70 \ig/\ groundwater quality standard and that adjustment lo the
hydi-aulic containment program was in order. Two options to improve hydraulic control and containment
were discussed: 1) increased pumping from the existing four (4) chloroform pumping wells, and / or 2) an
addition of one or more pumping wells in or near well TW4-6.
In our conference call it was agreed that on or before December 31, 2009 that DUSA will submit a pian of
action and work schedule to achieve hydraulic containment al TW4-6 for Executive Secretary review and
approval. If this was not your understanding please respond in writing with in three calendar days of
receiving this confirmatory action letter.
