MW-26: DRC Approval
Dear Ms. Tischler:
This is in response to your letter dated October 12, 2011 which requests Co-Executive Secretary
approval to retum to baseline monitoring for gross alpha at groundwater monitoring well MW-26.
Per Part I.E.I.b. of the Groundwater Permit (Permit No. UGW370004), the baseline frequency at
monitoring well MW-26 is quarterly.
Your request justifies the retum to baseline monitoring after 8 consecutive monthly results for
gross alpha (February through September, 2011), which have shown values below the
Groundwater Compliance Limit.
Per DRC review of the October 12, 2011 request, as well as review of the applicable laboratory
reports and QA/QC results, DRC agrees with the justification. Approval is therefore granted to
return groundwater monitoring for gross alpha at monitoring well MW-26 to baseline quarterly
monitoring.
