The White Mesa Ute Indian Tribe supports the constructionand operation of the proposed Energy Fuels Uranium MilI to belocated on White Mesa approximately five (5) miles north of theUte Reservation. The White Mesa project should be a benefit tothe Ute Tribe insofar as tribe members will benefit from thejobs created in the immediate area. The Tribe urges yourfavorable consideration of the issuance of the source materiallicense for the Energy Fuels MilI. Your earliest possibleaction on the issuance of this l-icense will permit the openingof a substantj-al number of job opportunities to the Ute tribemembers.
