Testing was performed November 2, 2023, to demonstrate compliance with the emission limits found in 40 CFR Part 60, Subpart JJJJ. Testing was conducted to demonstrate compliance with EPA 40 CFR 60, Subpart JJJJ (NSPS JJJJ). Facility Name: Ute Tribal 02-08-5-2E Emission Source: Ajax E-565 Date of Test: November 2, 2023 Date of Report: November 28, 2023 1.1 Introduction The purpose of this source test was to demonstrate that source emissions from an Ajax E-565 engine were below maximum allowable levels specified by EPA 40 CFR 60, Subpart JJJJ. The Ajax E-565 engine is a lean burn engine that is uncontrolled. Three test runs were performed on November 2, 2023 to analyze NOx & CO emission levels according to methodologies outlined in the EPA 40 CFR 60(A) Protocol. Each of the three runs consisted of sixty (60) readings taken at one (1) minute intervals. Test runs were observed by the following individuals:  David Rosette, OEC  Brandon Fletcher, Industrial HP 2.1 Equipment Utilization The following equipment was used during the tests performed at the Ute Tribal 02-08-5-2E in conjunction with procedures outlined in our standard testing protocol according to EPA Reference Methods 3A, 7E, 10 & 19.  API 300M CO NDIR Analyzer, S/N 71, Range 0-3000 ppm  API 200AH NOx/O2 Chemiluminescent/Paramagnetic Analyzer, S/N 495, Range 0-5000 ppm  Universal Analyzer 3040SSP Sample Gas Conditioner  75 ft. Heated Sample Line  APEX MC-170 Meter Box  EPA G1 Protocol Calibration Gas  Laptop Computer to download Raw Analyzer Data 3.1 Discussion of NOx & CO Test Results Please refer to the Appendices for a listing of all raw data, calibration error response and calculations performed per EPA 40 CFR 60(A) requirements. Each test run was performed at the maximum achievable load. Overall the average emission levels complied with Subpart JJJJ requirements. Testing for NOx & CO were run concurrently with one another. 3.1.1 Source Test 1: Ajax E-565, NOx & CO The first test was performed from 8:52 to 9:51 for NOx & CO. Based on the site rated load of 40.0 bhp, the average NOx and CO levels were found to be 0.76 g/bhp-hr and 2.86 g/bhp-hr respectively, below limitations. Based on the site rated load of 40.0 bhp, the average NOx and CO levels were found to be 2.18 g/bhp-hr and 2.72 g/bhp-hr respectively, below limitations. Based on the site rated load of 40.0 bhp, the average NOx and CO levels were found to be 1.17 g/bhp-hr and 2.67 g/bhp-hr respectively, below limitations. Test Run NOx (ppm) NOx (g/bhp-hr) CO (ppm) CO (g/bhp-hr) O2 (%) 3 18.03 1.17 67.04 2.67 18.9 4.1 Stack Sampling Location The sampling for NOx & CO measurements was conducted at the end of the stack due to the lack of Method 1 sample ports. 4.2 Stack Sampling Methods & Procedures Testing followed EPA 40 CFR 60(A) methodologies per our standard protocol, with no exceptions. 5.1 Engine Load Approximation The engine load was approximated by using the site rated load as there was insufficient information available to determine the operating horsepower. 6.1 Quality Assurance All pre and post calibration error checks, leak checks, and other quality assurance issues conformed with the requirements specified in EPA 40 CFR 60(A), Methods 3A, 7E & 10.
