Yes SUMMARY: The purpose of this site visit was to oversee the site characterization activities occurring on the property. A site characterization work plan, sampling and analysis plan, and quality assurance project plan were all recently accepted for the site. The DERR met the field geologist for Wasatch Environmental on-site and oversaw the soil and groundwater sampling for GP-28, which is just outside of the southern building. The field geologist noted that this location was marked for a duplicate sample since PAHs would be collected. Blake Downey with Wasatch arrived on-site at approximately 1:40 p.m. and walked the DERR around the site to observe which locations had already been sampled and where future samples would be collected. He noted that access agreements were signed by the neighboring property and the two off-site groundwater samples were collected earlier that day. Two additional borings were also completed in the southern building, with locations consistent with the work plan. Most of the equipment had been cleared out of the southern building, allowing for easier access for the drilling equipment. The DERR and Wasatch compared notes regarding the analyte list, and the observed procedures were consistent with the work plan. All samples were immediately placed on ice.
