RE: Written Follow-up Emergency Notification - Sulfuric Acid Release on October 28,2025
To Whom It May Concern:
ln accordance with 40 CFR 355.40OX1-3),If SinclairWoods Cross Refining LLC is providing a written
follow-up to the emergsncy notification of the release that occurred on October 28,2025. Your offrce was
notified on October 28,2025, of an event that resulted in a release in excess of 1,000 lbs of Sulfuric Acid
within a 24-hovr period. The release was a result of a connection fitting failure. Approximately 135 gallons
were captured in the tote's secondary containment while approximately 15 gallons were released to a cement
surface.
The estimated quantrty of sulfuric acid was 2,182 lbs.
