Hello,

Yes, at the time Release MIL was assigned, it applied only to the two USTs and
dispensers closed in 2007. At the DERR, each release ID applies to specific notices about
petroleum releases, not the system as a whole. And it looks like the 4-USTs were
covered by the Fund, so I've got to get Micheal P. involved for decision making.

Thanks for the update. I am a little confused though because the four tanks just north
of our tank were connected to the same fueling system as the MIL release? Or is it just
that the release occurred at a different locations of the system?

Hello Blake,

I was on leave early in the week, but spent time with the file yesterday. At this time I
have no problem with the excavation being filled, as the soil and GW information
looked good at the pit. I cannot recommend NFA yet, as I need to discover if PST
funding applies to the 4-USTs closed in-place Nov. 1998, and are the suspected
contributors to the GW problem at TP-3, 7 and 8. Those tanks are not associated with
Release MIL.

There will be a new release assigned to the 4-USTs and I understand from Melissa
Ottley, that another orphan tank was found recently. So site complexities have grown
somewhat.

Stand by, as we at the DERR determine which PM would be assigned the USTs closed
in-place in 1998, and I receive information about the newly discovered tank.

Block site. Do you anticipate we will get closure on that release? I sent an email to
Mike Pecorelli last Friday to see if the PST Fund plans to open the MIL release
again, but have not heard back yet. My client is wanting to begin the construction of
the parking lot in that area.
