Engineering Inspection Module 62 Closc-Out

On October 29, 2009 at 12:15 p.m., 1 met with Mr. Billy Ray of RAM in Monticello. UT. The meeting
was held at that location due to heavy snows in Lisbon Valley on Wednesday and Thursday, October 28-
29, 2009, making on-siie observations impractical. The site is closed for inspection until spring, due to
snow restricting access, but more importantly covering the view ofthe facilities.
Using a map of the facility, Mr. Ray showed many areas, where earlier that week, RAM crews had
recontoured the site, which included areas that DRC had identified in a letter dated November 20, 2008. as
needing grading parallel rather than perpendicular to the contour Hnes. He indicated that reseeding the soil
surfaces ofthe whole project area would be attempted on October 30, 2009 and days following. RAM was
also following-up on weed control of musk thistle that DOOM had requested in some locations and
improving the access road north ofthe facility requested by DOE.
He said the closure report was being pursued by RAM and their con.sultant, G.H. Guernsey & Co. He
mentioned RAM is committed (o closing the site. This report is his first priority at his office in Grants.

To date, all field work requested by DRC, has been verified as complete, excepting work identified by
DRC in the November 20, 2008 letter referenced above, and the effectiveness of the revegetation work.
