Two monitor wells had a status of Out of Compliance during the first half of 2012 The two wells were Monitor Wells RL-1 and EF-8; both wells continued to have reported uranium values that exceeded their respective target action limits. This report discusses the results obtained for Monitor Wells EF-8 and RL-1 during the 1s half of 2012. The two wells have a status of Out-of Compliance and were sampled monthly during the 1st half of 2012. Groundwater samples taken from the two wells indicate uranium values continue to exceed the Uranium Target Action levels presented in Table 1 of license condition 53 B Those values are 0.03 mg/L U for EF-8 and 42.1 mg/L U for RL-1. This report contains the following elements: A discussion and interpretation of the groundwater sampling results and concentration trends, Uranium Compliance limits or Uranium Target Action levels as stated in Table 1, license condition 53 B. Appendix 1 contains analytical data, time versus concentration plots, depth to water with time, and hydrographs for each of the monitoring wells. Appendix 2 presents the field data sheets including the field parameter measurements. Appendix 3 presents copies of the laboratory analytical reports for the 1st half of 2012. Appendix 4 presents the groundwater contour maps. Appendix 5 contains the sampling methodologies used to conduct the sampling. 2 Discussion The data provided in this report represent sampling results from the 1st half of 2012. Monitor Wells EF-8 and RL-1 are two of the seven Trend Wells at the Lisbon mine site, as shown in Table 1. The constituent of concern for these wells is U-Nat as stated in Table 3 of license condition 53 B. Table No. 2 shows the comparison of the uranium concentration found in monitor wells EF-8 and RL-1 during the 1st half of 2012 with their corresponding Uranium Target Action Levels. The uranium results shown for Monitor Well EF-8, taken during the first half of 2012, show an increasing trend in the uranium values. The results shown for Monitor Well RL- 1 for the first half of 2012 also show an increasing trend in uranium values. Monitor Wells RL-1 and EF-8 continue to exceed their respective Uranium Target Action Levels. As per License Condition 53 C., both of these monitor wells continue to have an Out-of-Compliance status that have triggered an ongoing Supplemental Site Assessment. 4 Appendix 1 The following data is provided for each of the 2 monitor wells.
