The Division issued Plan Approval for this project on August 15, 2024. Our understanding of the project was the construction of a new, 500,000-gallon drinking water storage tank connected to the Bear River Water Conservancy District - Harper Ward water system. The tank is a buried, concrete tank. The project also included a new valve vault containing valves and appurtenances for the tank inlet, outlet, and drain lines. The tank drain line and overflow line both discharge with acceptable air gaps over concrete collection boxes. Water from these collection boxes discharges to a new collection pond nearby. This facility is identified as ST001 in the Division’s database. We have received the following information for Harper Ward Tank: Certification of Rule Conformance with plan approval conditions by a professional engineer. Record drawings. Satisfactory bacteriological results as evidence of proper disinfection and flushing. Evidence of O&M manual delivery. We have determined that all conditions for operating permit issuance have been met. On this basis, an Operating Permit for Harper Ward Tankis hereby issued as constituted by this letter. You may now place Harper Ward Tank in service in your water system. Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference. If you have any questions regarding this Operating Permit, please contact Hunter Payne, P.E., of this office, at (385) 278-9837, or Michael Newberry, P.E., Permitting and Engineering Manager, at (385) 515-1464.
