Radioactive Material License No. UT 2300249 Radioactive Material License No. UT 2300478 Dear Mr. Schon: On July 7, 2025, the Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control received your notification letter to discontinue Gamma Spike Service Provider (CD-2025-139); DRC-2025-002240. To ensure a thorough review of the submitted data, we require additional information. Specifically, we have identified discrepancies between the values presented in Table 1: Comparison of Mirion and Landauer Gamma Spike Data in your notification letter and the data provided in your 2024 Second Semi-Annual Environmental Monitoring Report, submitted on March 20, 2025. While the Gamma Spike Results (mrem) for Q3 and Q4 of 2024 match in both documents, the Relative Mean Difference (RMD) percentages differ noticeably. To assist us with our review, please provide the following information: The Gamma Spike Quality Control data table from the 2024 Second Semi-Annual Environmental Monitoring Report for the period of Q1 2020 through Q2 2024. The exact formula used to calculate the Relative Mean Difference (RMD) in both the notification letter and the 2024 semi-annual report.
