Dear Tony Spackman:The Division of Drinking Water (the Division) received a request for an Operating Permit for the 300,000-gallon tank and raw water transmission line from your consultant,
Matt Laurendeau, P.E. with Jones & DeMille Engineering on September 3, 2025. The Division issued Plan Approval for this project on May 12, 2020.
Our understanding of the project is that a new concrete 300,000-gallon water storage tank (identified as ST002 in the Division’s database) was constructed which replaces the existing
150,000-gallon tank (ST001). Approximately 900 feet of new 8-inch diameter PVC C900 water line was installed to connect the new tank to the existing distribution system, as well as approximately
600 feet of 6-inch diameter HDPE DR11 water line to deliver water from the existing Little Deer Creek WTP (TP001) to the new storage tank. This project also included the replacement
of approximately 7,000 feet of existing raw water transmission line with new 6-inch diameter HDPE DR11 water line.
We have received the following information for the 300,000 Storage Tank (ST002) and Raw Water Transmission Line project:
Certification of Rule Conformance with plan approval conditions by a professional engineer
As-built or record drawings.
Satisfactory bacteriological results as evidence of proper disinfection and flushing.
Evidence of O&M manual delivery.
We have determined that all conditions for operating permit issuance have been met. On this basis, an Operating Permit for the 300,000-Gallon Tank (ST002) and raw water transmission
lineis hereby issued as constituted by this letter. You may now place these facilities in service in your water system.
Please maintain a copy of this letter with your permanent records for future reference.
