For samples requiring Matrix QC, 3 times the volume is required. For normal samples, 2 or more times the volume may be required for re-extracts/digestions. 2 For a test method with a maximum holding time measured in days, the holding time shall be tracked by the day. The sampling date is day 0. 3Gross Alpha MDA is achievable only when solids are less than 500 ppm. 4 Glass is the preferred container type due to the slight potential for tritium to leach through a plastic container over time. However this is unlikely to be a significant factor, and a glass container is not required. Plastic containers are acceptable. Container Key P - Plastic G - Glass This table should be used for guidance only. If there is any doubt or question, please consult the appropriate group leader. Some analyses may be able to be combined, such as the anions, with no additional volume required. Check with group leader if there are changes in the method or the manner in which the lab performs an analysis.
