Dear Mr. Gurr: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (the Division) has received your request for approval of Waste Stream 9083-18 for management at your Mixed Waste Facility. The request for approval of this waste stream was received by the Division in EnergySolutions’ letter CD-2025-131. Waste Stream 0856-55 consists of primarily used oil and Ultima Gold liquid scintillation fluid. The non-aqueous liquids consist of high concentrations of metals and low concentrations of organic compounds. The waste will be stabilized/solidified at the Mixed Waste Facility prior to disposal.Your CD-2025-131 letter includes the completed Radioactive Waste Profile Record and confirms waste stream9083-18 to be within Class A limits as defined by Utah Rule R313-15-1009. The Licensee may receive and manage the above waste stream provided the waste is received, treated and disposed in accordance with your RCRA Part B Permit and Radioactive Material License UT 2300249.If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Kevin Carney at (385) 622-2267.
