Dear Mr. Gurr: The Division of Waste Management and Radiation Control (the Division) has received your request for approval of Waste Stream 9825-04 for management at your Mixed Waste Facility. The request for approval of this waste stream was received by the Division in EnergySolutions’ letter CD-2025-154. Waste Stream 9825-04 consists of shipboard maintenance waste including: Neolube, adhesives, sealants, coatings, etc. The waste within this profile includes Hazardous waste codes D001 (Deactivation), D002 (Corrosivity) and D004-D011 (Metals). The waste will be treated by thermal desorption (VTD) and will be disposed of in the Mixed Waste Landfill Cell.Your CD-2025-154 letter includes the completed Radioactive Waste Profile Record and confirms waste stream9825-04 to be within Class A limits as defined by Utah Rule R313-15-1009. The Licensee may receive and manage the above waste stream provided the waste is received, treated and disposed in accordance with your RCRA Part B Permit and Radioactive Material License UT 2300249.If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Kevin Carney at (385) 622-2267.
